Star Combo Pharma buys land to expand manufacturing

Health, beauty, vitamin and dietary supplement manufacturer Star Combo Pharma has bought land next door to its Smithfield, Sydney plant to expand its TGA approved manufacturing footprint.

Last week Star Comba Pharma announced it had expanded its Sydney milk powder facility to meet orders for its growing business in the neutraceuticals sector.

The company has installed three new ‘blend and pack’ lines to manufacture high-value formulated products, infant formula, whey protein, weight loss and protein powders.

Now this has been followed with the revelation it spent $3.7 million to buy 3,700 square metres of land next door at 165 Woolpark Road to house a new R&D and test laboratory centre.

CEO Su Zhang said the further expansion would enable the company to address growing demand for Australian made premium vitamins and dietary supplements.

“We will be able to extend our service offering and support to our existing OEM customers, and significantly enhance our capability to develop new and innovative products to address growing demand in both local and overseas markets.”
